We started this Ford Ranger upgrade project in Perth with a brand new MY19.00 Ford Ranger PX3 XLT ute. Purchased in the stunning Lightning Blue to complement the upgrades and stand out on the road.
This project will go on a journey over the coming weeks to show how easy it is to convert an everyday dual cab ute into the ultimate crossover weekend warrior.
Stage one starts with the installation of a new Drivetech 4×4 Rival Alloy Bumper. Made from 6mm alloy to provide excellent strength and protection without the disadvantage of a heavy steel bar, the Drivetech 4×4 Bumpers are designed to ensure easy installation as a full replacement for the OE bumper. Stylish and functional these bars come in a matte black finish.

We have also upgraded the wheels and tyres to 17×9 King Blade Milled Finish rims wrapped with Toyo AT2 285/65/17 tyres to give the ute the stance and performance it deserves.
The next stage includes a Pedder’s 2-inch lift kit then back to the workshop for an exciting heavy-duty alloy tray – what this space.
