YOUR NEXT MOVE
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, HEAVY VEHICLES & CRANES
This role is for someone the industry already knows. You’ve spent 5 or more years working with cranes, heavy vehicles, or body building in WA, you have relationships across transport, mining, or construction, and you can walk into a technical conversation with a fleet manager or an engineer and hold your own. If you’re looking for a role where you can apply that expertise with real autonomy and build something of your own, this is it.

ABOUT THE ROLE
NOT YOUR AVERAGE SALES ROLE
TL Engineering has been building custom vehicle bodies in Western Australia since 1970. We work across mining, transport, utilities, government, and construction, and we do it properly. No shortcuts, no cookie-cutter solutions. Every build is engineered to perform in the real world.
We’re now looking for a technically credible Business Development Manager to own our heavy vehicles and crane product line. Someone who can walk a workshop floor, read a load chart, scope a crane install, and then close the deal.
If you know cranes, trucks, and the WA transport and resources market, this role was written for you.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This isn’t a position for someone who just takes enquiries and passes them to engineering. You are the technical and commercial lead on every project, from the first conversation with a customer through to the vehicle rolling out of our Hazelmere facility.
The role reports to the Sales Manager and operates with a high degree of autonomy. There’s real territory to develop, accounts to build from scratch, and a product range to grow across the state. This suits someone who wants to build something, not just maintain what already exists.
You’ll be TL Engineering’s authorised representative for the HMF Crane range across Western Australia, working with one of the most respected brands in the market. The projects are complex, the clients are serious, and the work is genuinely interesting.
